About
C. E. Day (or Claire Pellegrini) is mixed-media artist and botanist from New England currently living in the Midwest. They seek to highlight the small, overlooked, and impermanent details of the natural world. Both 2D and 3D work is treated as collage, meshing natural and man-made forms. Their practice includes slip cast high fire ceramics, found objects, and collages created from recycled books. They are interested in exploring the divides that humans self-impose on ourselves such as gender and a disconnection from the natural world.
